Bell Inn

The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.  The salad bar was fully stocked and great quality.  The mains were well cooked and very presentable and tasty.  Most of the desserts were the same but the apple pie was the worst that I have ever eaten.It was a small round pie with a thick base, thick lid and very thick crust.  Probably 90% heavy pastry with only 10% apple.

Quiet at 12.30 when we arrived, well half term and chilly outside.  No matter we decided on mains we really fancied whilst enjoying the salad bar. Well stocked and quality.  My friend went for the Scampi which came hot, plentiful and tasty.  Not had any for ages and she really enjoyed.  Usually the Haddock(which is well cooked here) fancied a change and enjoyed the Chicken Breast and Half Rack of Ribs. Both moist and tasty with herby fries and pot of gravy, delish.   Both rather good choices and not too filling, except my doggy bag with chicken for later!  Staff lovely here and the young chefs always get it right!
